Free QR codes

Static QR codes are made in your browser. What you type into the generator, and any logo you add, is not sent to our servers.

Your account

Paid features use an account. You sign in with Google; we receive and store your name, email address and Google account identifier, and set a session cookie to keep you signed in. We store the links, hosted text, QR designs, tags and API keys you create. API keys are stored only as hashes.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. We keep payment references (customer, order and payment identifiers) and what you bought, to grant and manage your plan.

Short links and analytics

Destinations and hosted text of your short links are public to anyone who has the link. If you turn tracking on for a link, each open records the time, an approximate country, a device category and the referring website’s host name. We do not store IP addresses, full browser identifiers, referrer paths or any persistent visitor identifier. Events are deleted after 180 days.

Security and operations

IP addresses are used briefly to limit abuse (for example, sign-in and report rate limits); only short-lived hashed values are stored. Our application logs record requests without IP addresses or the content you submit. Abuse reports you send through the report form are stored for review.

Who processes data for us

Legal bases and retention

We process account, link and payment data to provide the service you signed up for (contract), payment records to meet accounting obligations (legal obligation), and security data to protect the service (legitimate interest). Account data is kept while your account exists; payment records are kept as long as accounting law requires.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, or object to its processing, by writing to the address above. You can also complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).
