Error correction

How much of the code can be covered or damaged and still scan. Lower levels make a simpler code with bigger dots, easier to scan when printed small. A logo needs a high level.

One code for every campaign

An editable code opens a short link you can point to this year’s campaign, a new platform or a thank-you page, from the same posters. Scans are counted too.

How to make a donation QR code

Paste the address of the page where people give: a HelloAsso form, a PayPal Donate button, a Stripe payment link or the donation page of your own website. Pick a design, add your logo if you like, and download it as PNG for screens or SVG for print. It works for associations, clubs, schools and charities of every size.

Where to find your donation link

The code only opens the page. Payment, amounts and receipts are handled by the platform you chose, as usual.

Free code or editable link?

If your donation page stays the same, a free code is all you need: it opens that page directly and never expires. An editable link is worth it when the page changes: a new campaign each year, a move to another platform, or a fundraiser that ends and a thank-you page after it. Posters, flyers and stickers already printed keep working, and you see how many people scanned each one.

Where to put it

Make it trustworthy

People are rightly wary of codes that ask for money. Put your association’s name and logo next to the code, link to a page that shows the same name, and check now and then that nobody has stuck another code over yours.

Questions

Is it free?

Yes. Making and downloading a code is free, without an account, and the code never expires. Only editable links, which you can change after printing, are paid: from $10, once.

Does olinqs take a share of the donations?

No. The code opens your donation page and donors pay through that platform. olinqs never handles the money.

Can one code open several donation pages?

Not at the same time. An editable link can be switched from one page to another whenever you like, for example from a spring appeal to the year-end campaign.
