How to make a menu QR code
Put your menu online, as a page on your website, a page on your ordering platform, or a PDF in shared storage, and paste its link above. Choose a design that matches your place, add a short caption such as “Scan for menu”, and download.
Printing tips
- Size: at least 3 × 3 cm on tables; bigger on walls and windows that are read from further away.
- Light: restaurants are often dim. Dark codes on a light background scan best; avoid glossy laminate that reflects lamps.
- Test: scan the printed code at the table, with two different phones, before you print a hundred.
- Keep paper menus: some guests will always prefer them.
Menus change. Your code doesn’t have to.
A free code opens one address forever, so moving your PDF breaks it. A dynamic QR code opens a short olinqs link that you can point anywhere: seasonal menus, a new ordering system or the lunch menu at noon, all without reprinting. It also shows how many guests scan it.
Questions
PDF or web page?
A web page reads better on a phone and loads faster. If you only have a PDF, keep it small and in portrait, so it’s readable without zooming.
Can I have one code per table?
Yes. Make one dynamic code per table or area to see where guests scan most, or add the table number to the link if your ordering system uses it.
