How to make a contact QR code
Fill in your name, phone number, email address and company. The code holds a vCard: the standard contact format every phone reads. When someone scans it, their phone offers to save you as a new contact, with every field already filled in.
Where to use it
- Business cards: nobody has to type your number from paper.
- Conference badges and stands: collect contacts in seconds.
- Email signatures and slides: people can scan it from a screen.
- Front desks: customers save your shop’s number for next time.
Tips
- Write phone numbers with the country code (+44, +33…), so they work from abroad.
- Less is more: every extra field makes the code denser and harder to scan when printed small.
- Print it at least 2.5 cm wide on a business card.
Questions
Is my information stored anywhere?
No. The code is made in your browser and holds your details itself: nothing is sent to olinqs.
Can I change it after printing?
No: the details are part of the code. If your number changes, make a new one. To share details that change often, use a link to your profile page in a dynamic QR code instead.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. Both open contact cards from the camera app.
